La versione torinese del monumento all’eroe dell’indipendenza veneziana è affidato a Vincenzo Vela – che per altro partecipò anche al concorso veneziano - ed è svelato nel 1861 raccogliendo generali consensi e una riproduzione ne “L’Illustrazione Universale”.
Il gruppo presenta una Italia fiera che con la destra mostra la palma del martirio e con la sinistra sostiene un tondo a bassorilievo col ritratto di Manin.
The Turin version of the monument to the Venetian hero has been committed to Vincenzo Vela – who had also taken part to the Venetian concourse – and it has unveiled it on the 1861 in a situation of general agreement and obtaining also the graphic reproduction in the “Illustrazione Universale”.
The group presents a pride Italy that with the right hand shows the martyrdom palm and with the other bears an oval with the low relief of the Manin’s portrait.
