Monumento a Carlo di Robilant – Giovanni Ginotti

Il 27 maggio 1900 venne inaugurato il monumento a Carlo di Robilant (1826-1888), ufficiale e ambasciatore della corte sabauda,  affidato dai torinesi a Giovanni Ginotti (1845-1897). Al vivace ritratto di Robilant è associata un’allegoria che così fasciata nelle sue forme conferma quel verismo venato di sensualità per cui fu celebre lo scultore. On the 27th May 1900 the monument to Carlo di Robilant (1826-1888) was inaugurated in Turin, he was an official and ambassador of the Savoia’s court, and the monument was entrust to Giovanni Ginotti (1845-1897). The allegory, associated to the vivid portrait of Robilant, with its copious forms, confirms a sort of sensual Verism that was typical for the sculptor. (See The petroliera’s post)
