In the same garden the town remembers the famous doctor from Aosta L. Cerise (1807-1869), the monument has been collocated in Chanoux place till 1924, where now there’s the Alpino’s monument by Canonica. Giovanni Albertoni (1806-1887) portrayed Cerise with a great naturalness, both in the features of the face – not stereotyped or rigid – both in the pose: the left hand in the pocket and the right one with the finger in the middle of the page as he had just interrupted the reading.
