Nello stesso anno in cui Karla Black è stata nominate per il Turner Prize ha anche ricevuto l’invito per rappresentare la Scozia alla 54esima Biennale di Venezia. L’ha raccolto con una seria di sculture astratte e site specific: strutture fluttuanti di carta, blocchi in vasellina, polvere di marmo e profumo (uno degli supporter è Lush!) per un’esperienza concettuale e sensoriale al contempo.
In the same year in which Karla Black has been nominee for the Turner Prize she has had also the occasion to represent Scotland at the 54th Venice Biennale. She has solved the invitation with a kind of abstract sculptures site specific: floating structures of sugar-paper, Vaseline blocks and marble dust and perfume (one of the promoter is Lush!) create a conceptual and at the same time sensorial experience.
