Città di Castello
Inaugurato nel 1990 come “ampliamento” della
Fondazione a Palazzo Albizzini, l’Essiccatoio, alle porte di Città di Castello,
è uno spazio ex industriale. I capannoni, completamente intonacati di nero per
volontà stessa dell’artista, raccolgono 128 opere realizzate tra il 1974 e il
1993 e negli spazi esterni le grandi sculture in ferro.
The desiccator, in the immediately suburb of
Città di Castello, has been inaugurated in 1990 as a sort of “extension” of the
Burri Foundation in Palazzo Albizzini. The hangars, completed painted on black
as request by the artist, present 128 works from 1974 and 1993, while his big
iron sculptures are settled in the garden.
