Toots Zynsky (1951) è un’artista
statunitense che ha imparato a lavorare il vetro alla Rhode Island School of
Design, mettendo a punto la costruzione di oggetti-scultura, coitole nel caso
di questa bella mostra, per filamenti vitrei. Le impercettibili scanalature e
il sovrapporsi di fili cromatici donano all’oggetto sfumature mutevoli che bene
s’adattano agli spazi antichi di Palazzo Loredan.

Toots Zynsky (1951) is an American artist who has learn the glass technique
at the Rhode Island School of Design, perfecting the construction of
object-sculptures, bowls in the case of this beautiful exhibition, made by
glassy fibers. The slight channelling and the overlap of chromatic filaments
gives to the work a variable hues. They are perfectly set in the ancient spaces
of Palazzo Loredan.
