I 20 metri di torre, dorata quanto i mosaici di Palazzo Barbaro, domineranno il Canal Grande fino al termine della Biennale. Curata da Albero Salvadori l’installazione riprende un progetto del 1976 di James Lee Byars, artista statunitense scomparso nel 1997.

The twenty meters tower, gilded as the Palazzo Barbaro mosaics, dominate the Grand Canal till the end of the Biennale. Curated by Alberto Salvadori, the installation reproposed a 1976 project of James Lee Byars, USA artist passed in 1997.

L’inverno a Palazzo Fortuny è completamente al femminile: artiste, curatrici e allestitrice sono donne dalla forza straordinaria. Ogni piano presenta un’artista: le pittrici Ida Barbarigo e Romain Brooks, la fotografa Sarah Moon ma soprattutto una mostra al piano nobile dedicata a Henriette Fortuny. moglie, musa e “braccio” della rivoluzione tessile di Mariano Fortuny.

Winter at Palazzo Fortuny is a real female exhibition: artists, curators and the architect are women with an extraordinary strength. Each floor of the palace presents an artist: the painters Ida Barbarigo and Romain Brooks, the photographer Sarah Moon and moreover Henriette Fortuny. The piano nobile is dedicated to the wife, the muse and the “arm” of the fashion revolution by Mariano Fortuny.

Giardini – La Biennale di Venezia – Padiglione Centrale (III)

Il Padiglione Centrale è l’essenza del pensiero che sottende questa 56° Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte di Venezia curata da Okwui Enwezor. Attraverso tre filtri che si sovrappongono (Garden of Disorder, Liveness: On Epic Duration e Reading Capital) a una prospettiva storica il curatore ha cercato di rispondere al complesso quesito di come l’arte – in senso ampio – possa dare una risposta al senso dello sconvolgimento del nostro tempo.

Stanze del vetro - Fondazione “G. Cini”

La bella mostra che le “Stanze del vetro”, ospitate dalla Fondazione G. Cini, dedicano a Tomaso Buzzi (1900-1981) è un ennesimo passo avanti nello studio della storia del vetro muranese. In particolare la mostra si concentra sul biennio 1932-1933 quando l’architetto milanese collaborò con la vetreria Venini.

The “Stanze del vetro” have dedicated a beautiful exhibition to Tomaso Buzzi  (1900-1981): the event is a further step in the scientific study of the Murano glass history. In particular the exhibition is concentrated on the years 1932-1933, when the Milan architect collaborated with the Venini.

Un tempo collocato in campo Sant’Angelo, il Pietro Paleocapa (1788-1869) viene realizzato i fondi d’esubero (15.000 £ circa) della sottoscrizione per il monumento torinese affidato invece a E. Tabacchi (vedi post).
Ferrari immagina il “principe degli idraulici” al lavoro sul suo progetto per la diga esterna di Malamocco.

Pietro Paleocapa (1788-1869), that was in origin settled in campo Sant’Angelo, has been realized with the extra-funds (more or less15.000 £) of the Turin monument by O. Tabacchi (see its post).
Ferrari presents the “Prince of the plumbers” while he’s working on his project of the Malamocco’s external dam.
