La pur buona modellazione e la composizione mossa del Verdi di Bortotti (1849-1925) – immortalato con il mantello appena appoggiato alla spalla e uno spartito nella mano destra – paga lo scotto di essere in pietra e di subire perciò maggiormente il deterioramento del tempo e dell’umidità della laguna.
The good modelling and the vivid composition of the Bortotti’s Verdi – with his cloak on the shoulder and the music paper in the right hand – is paying the frailty of the stone and the moisture of the lagoon.
