Il catalogo della mostra
tenutasi nella sede del Dipartimento di Storia e Tutela dei Beni Culturali
dell’Università di Udine (19 ottobre – 23 novembre 2012) è un prezioso tassello
nella ricostruzione della figura di Beppino De Cesco, artista friulano
scomparso da pochi mesi. Edito in collaborazione con la Fondazione Ado Furlan, il
volume presenta sia pezzi storici che alcune opere recenti esposte a Palazzo
Caiselli: una produzione sempre sul filo di una poetica al confine tra il
teatro dell’assurdo, l’ironia e la provocazione, «esito di un artigianato
poetico che ha richiesto tempo e meditazione», come la definisce Simone
Furlani. Lo stesso De Cesco dichiara: «Sono consapevole che si tratta di
trucchi, di stimoli percettivi […] Il mio lavoro sta nel predisporre le
trappole».
The catalogue of the exhibition of Beppino De Cesco in
the Department of History and Conservation of the Heritage in the Udine
University (October 19th – November 23th 2012) is an important
tile in the reconstruction of the career of the artist dead some months ago. It
has ben edited with the collaboration of Ado Furlan Foundation and it presents
some recent works besides historical ones: a production always in between the theatre
of absurd, the irony and the provocation, «result of a poetic handicraft that
need time of meditation», as Simone Furlani has written in catalogue. The same De
Cesco declared, «I know that my work is a trick, a perspective stimulation […] My
job is prearranging traps».
