Il secondo appuntamento de “Le
Stanze del Vetro” – ciclo di mostre scientifiche dedicate alla produzione
vetraria veneziana – ha per protagonista Napoleone Martinuzzi: scultore
muranese, autore del celebre monumento ai caduti dell’isola e, per sette anni,
maestro del vetro per Venini. Un connubio prolifico da cui presero forma eleganti
vasi e sculture vere e proprie che conquistarono anche D’Annunzio.

The second step of the “Le Stanze del Vetro” – series of scientific exhibitions
dedicated to the Venetian glass production – has Napoleone Martinuzzi as
protagonist. He was a sculptor, author of the famous monument to the fallen
soldiers in Murano and, for seven years, he was also a designer for Venini. A
prolific bond that generated elegant vases and real sculptures capable to
seduce also Gabriele D’Annunzio.
