La Fondazione Prada ha affidato allo studio OMA AMO l’allestimento (splendido!) di una mostra su Auguste Perret e in particolare su otto edifici da lui pensati, rigorosamente in cemento armato, tra il 1874 e il 1954. Tra questi anche il Teatro degli Champs-Elysées la cui decorazione plastica venne interante affidata all’amico Antoine Bourdelle. Tra il 1912 e il 1913 lo scultore francese crea delle metope di grande efficacia, capaci di reinterpretare la fonte arcaica con un inedito modernismo che lascerà il segno anche su tanta scultura italiana.

The Prada Foundation has entrusted to the OMA AMO studio the setting  (gorgeous!) of the Auguste Perret exhibition in Paris, in particular, on eight projects on concrete created between 1874 and 1954. One of them is of course the Champs-Elysées Theatre, entirely decorated by Antoine Bourdelle. Between 1912 and 1913 the French sculptor created the metopes for the facade: they were great, capable to reinvented the archaic inspiration in very modern way; a way that will leave traces also in the Italian post-war sculpture.
