Tutto nasce dalla testimonianza di Schlosser che ricorda come il Correr conservasse due commoventi bimbi in cera: così Andrea Daninos ha ritrovato quei pezzi e gli ha affiancato una serie di teste e busti. La penombra del piano terra di Palazzo Fortuny ospita una panoramica su un soggetto poco indagato della storia dell’arte, la scultura in cera a dimensione naturale. Impiegata principalmente nella ritrattistica, spesso asservita a scopi celebrativi o scientifici, le figure in cera appartengono alla tradizione veneziana.

After a witness by Schlosser who wrote to have seen two moving children in wax in the Correr’s collection, Andrea Daninos has identified the two pieces and he had placed them beside other wax sculptures.
