J. Eberle (1845-1921), printer and philanthropist asks to H. Schwathe (1870-) the personification of his own work for his family sepulchre that the sculptor develops in the most consolidate middle-class iconographical tradition, that believes that the work is virtue.
Schwathe is able to model with a great balance, the physical force of the printer and at the same time enforces the face expression that is in a perfect dialogue with the Abraham a Sancta Clara (1928)... next post:-))) see u tomorrow!
