Giunta alla sua quarta edizione,
la prima nel 2002, Temi e variazione
mette a confronto opere della collezione permanente con capolavori provenienti
dai privati, un dialogo proficuo che spesso permette di rileggere, per non dire
riscoprire, opere che si supponeva di
conoscere. Questa mostra in particolare ha per fulcro visivo l’Impero della Luce, dipinto di R.
Magritte e icona stessa del museo, che veicola la riflessione sul paesaggio, la
visione, il rapporto tra il girono e la notte ... Il percorso termina con un
raffinato, quanto accurato, omaggio alla produzione matura di Fausto Melotti, artista
geniale capace di creare sculture basandosi sulle leggi dell’equilibrio e della
musica.
Now at his fourth edition, the first one was in 2002, Themes and Variations creates a
comparison between some works of the museum with some masterpieces coming from
the private collectors. The dialogue is often very fruitful and it allows to
rediscover works that we thought to know. This exhibition in particular has as
visual cornerstone the Empire of Light,
an icon of the museum by R. Magritte that takes the reflection on matter of
landscape, vision, relation between night and day ... The path ends with a
refined, as accurate, homage to the late production by Fausto Melotti, genial
artist capable to create sculptures based on the laws of balance and music.
