Museo Nazionale Jean-Jacques Henner

Ha recentemente riaperto dopo i restauri e riallestimento il museo dedicato a al pittore Jean-Jacques Henner (1829-1905). Nato nel 1924 il museo – benché non sia mai stato l’abitazione di Henner – ricostruisce un clima e mette in evidenza tutta la carriera dell’artista, dagli inizi alsaziani, agli anni di Villa Medici fino al ritorno a Parigi dove si avvicina alla pittura accademica.

The museum dedicated to the painter Jean-Jacques Henner (1829-1905) has recently reopened after some years of renovation. It has been created in 1924 and, even if it has never been Henner’s home, it capable to recreate an atmosphere and to tell the entire career of the painter: the beginnings in Alsace, the year in Villa Medici and the return in Paris where he got close to the academic painters.

Empires – Huang Yong Ping

S’intitola Empires la monumentale installazione con cui l’artista cinese, ma francese d’elezione, Huang Yong Ping ha invaso lo spazio vetrato del Grand Palais per l’edizione 2016 di Monumenta, metafora del grande sistema economico globale. Un lungo scheletro si snoda sostenuto da un sistema di container e su tutto, non senza ironia, troneggia il cappello di napoleone.
